This year may see some additional changes, but one thing will remain certain: the St. Charles Fine Art show will bring talented artists from across the U.S. to downtown St. Charles to showcase art in a variety of mediums. Typically, mediums such as ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, mixed media and glass can be found at the show, though each year brings new artists with other mediums! Now the Fine Art Show isn’t the only place you’ll be able to find art during the weekend. Here are some ideas on where you can find other art!
Sculptures in the Park – Mount St. Mary’s Park is not only gorgeous in it’s stunning views of the river, but also the iconic sculptures that are placed throughout the park. Throw on your walking shoes to take a walk in the park to see amazing sculptures that have been crafted by insanely talented artists. The walk is free but be ready to be rewarded with art you can’t find anywhere else!

116 GALLERY – Located right on Main Street inside the Mixology Salon, 116 GALLERY hosts stunning, local art – such as paintings, sculptures, digital media and more- in a sleek and chic gallery that will wow all who come in to see! They also will be hosting an event that weekend so be sure to check out their Facebook for updates and information!
Make some memories at Pinot’s Palette and other DIY art shops.
DIY Paint Shops – When you come to St. Charles, instead of buying or looking at art, why not make your own? St. Charles is home to amazing DIY Board and Paint Shops. Join a class at Pinot’s Palette or Board and Brush to make and take some art home with you! Both places also have BYOB to have some extra fun!
Fine Line Creative Arts Center – Take a journey out of the downtown and into a world of art of all kinds! Fine Line Creative Arts Center features the Kavanagh Gallery, which features exhibitions representing a variety of mediums. Also check out the Dempsey Artisan Shop for art pieces, materials and more!
Downtown St. Charles Murals – Break out those selfie sticks or grab a friend to take a picture at one of the many murals in downtown St. Charles. Stop by the Be You Sculpture in the First Street Plaza by Alter Brewing, the Flowers mural in First Street Plaza by Gia Mia, the Find Beauty in Everyday mural on HM Hair Bar’s building, Forever Yogurt’s St. Charles Mural in their shop and more! Explore the downtown to find all kinds of murals for that perfect background.
And of course, there are some things you can’t plan for, so just have fun winging it in our scenic downtown for everything you could want: dine inside or out on the patios at one of our restaurants and cafes, shop till you drop at our amazing retail businesses, or find activities such as live music, Fox River water activities and more.
