With six local breweries and plenty of places to enjoy a glass of wine or a tasty cocktail, St. Charles is a must-visit for any lovers of beer and wine. We've set up this itinerary to stop by a lot of breweries and bars in just three days. However, it is important to remember to always drink responsibly. Keep reading below as we'll take you around town to some local favorite spots to grab a libation!
STC Brew Tour

Day 1
Alter Brewing + Kitchen

Start your adventure by stopping by Alter Brewing + Kitchen - located alongside the Fox River on the 1st Street Plaza. This is a great way to start your itinerary off, as they have delicious craft brews, and a fantastic food menu that will help you stay full for the rest of the day. Plus, they have an amazing views from their industrial “Container Bar” that looks out on the banks of the Fox River.
Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling

For your next stop, hop across to the other side of the river to visit another brewery that sits along the water - Pollyanna Brewing & Distilling. Here, you not only can enjoy their delicious craft brews, but also their award-winning spirits, too! You can savor all this outside on their extensive patio, or inside their taproom where they frequently hosts like music on the weekends, and offer pinball machines for you to play!
Broken Brix Fermentation Emporium

Your last stop of the day is going to be Broken Brix Fermentation Emporium. Established in 1990, Broken Brix offers local and import beers, as well as small batch craft wine, cider and mead made in house. They also provide beer, wine, and mead makers with a full line of supplies and equipment you'd need to brew from the comfort of your very own home!
Day 2
D&G Brewing
For Day 2, we are going to focus on some breweries located outside the downtown area - starting with D&G Brewing! This brewery and taproom is an ideal setting to get together with friends and family, with various themed nights to take part in like Pickleball and Pitchers on Tuesdays, or Vinyl Night on Wednesdays.
93 Octane Brewery

Up next is your second stop! You're going to want to fill up at a brewery on the west side of town - 93 Octane Brewery. Along with their phenomenal beer, you can also indulge in some delicious fare by visiting Urban Counter next door, which you can bring over into the taproom at 93 Octane.
Riverlands Brewing

It's time for your last stop of the day - Riverlands Brewing to watch the sun set from their outstanding patio area! Offering 16 beers on tap, Riverlands Brewing is the perfect spot to sip on a thirst-quenching brew, and even bring the family along, as they non-alcoholic option, and plenty of board games to keep everyone entertained.
Day 3
Themed Bars

Kicking-off the last day of the itinerary, we're going to switch it up a bit and view some other local spots in town to great an amazing libation! Add some fun to your trip by visiting one of the many themed bars in St. Charles, such as a tropical theme at The Beach Hut, western theme at Rudy's, or a 1970's theme at The Lewis, to just name a few.

We're sure that by now, you've had your fill of beer, so change up the pace and try some different drinks at one of the wine bars in town. Both The Wine Exchange, and Cooper's Hawk have exceptional selection of wines for purchase, along with snacks for charcuterie and bites to snack on while you sip on your drink.

So far on this trip, we've visited plenty of amazing establishments - however, there are still many more amazing spots in town to get together with friends and family, have a drink, and of course, have an amazing time. Make a trip to spots such as Crazy Fox Bar & Grille, Global Brew Tap House, and Bogart's, for starters. No matter what type of environment you're looking for, you'll be sure to find it in St. Charles.
