The Week Before Halloween (October 21st & October 22nd)

What's Halloween without a bit of trick-or-treating? If you're looking for some good spots around town to take your child to get some treats, we've got you covered! On Saturday, October 21st, swing by the premier pond contractor in the Chicagoland area - Aquascape! They are hosting a "Pond-O-Ween!" where children will get the chance to visit different trick-or-treating stations and activity stops throughout the store and through their AquaGardens. The event will even conclude in their contemporary AquaGardens for a story time!


Trunk or Treat at Goldfish Swim School

If you didn't get your fill of trick-or-treating just yet, swim on over to Goldfish Swim School the following day from 4pm-5:30pm, as they are hosting a "Trunk or Treat." Goldfish Swim School has been teaching water safety for a decade, and offering fun, family-friendly activities, too! This event will feature not only trick or treating, but also a Halloween-themed crafts and games to take part in, as well.


The Friday Before Halloween (October 27th)

Now that your sweet tooth has been satisfied from trick-or-treating the weekend before, it's time to start celebrating with others at local businesses around town. Starting off on Friday, October 27th, Bogart's will be having their Halloween Party! Make sure to dress up in your best Halloween costumes, as they will be giving away prizes. They will also be serving up some specialty cocktails and will be showing scary movies that are sure to give you a thrill!

The Saturday Before Halloween (October 28th)

On Saturday evening (October 28th), there a numerous ways that you can celebrate Halloween! Every year, Riverlands Brewing Company has a terrific Halloween party, and this year is no exception. Starting at 5pm, they are giving everyone (21+) the opportunity to go back to Prom...Monster Prom! Wear your best costume and get ready for some dancing, live music from Ben & Jake, fantastic food from Monk's Burgers & More, multiple costume contests, and more! This all culminates to the highlight of the evening...the Monster Prom Royalty Crowning!

Heading over to another brewery that is having a spectacular Halloween Party - D&G Brewing. A trip to this brewery is always a fantastic time, and this night, they are going all-out with food from Craft Urban starting at 5:30pm, and live music from Completely Dead starting at 6pm. This is one party that you do not want to miss out on, in an evening that is jam-packed full of events taking place throughout this town.

The Alibi also has quite the treat for you this Halloween. The same night starting at 8pm, immerse yourself in the Halloween spirit and listen to some live music from the Bada Bing Band! Not only will there be wonderful music and dancing, but they are also hosting a costume contest - so make sure to dress to scare! Important Note: there is a $10 cover (cash) for this hair-raising event!


Murder Mystery Night "Clueless in the 70's" at The Lewis

If you'd rather solve a fun and exciting mystery with a Halloween twist, transport back to the 70's and join The Lewis for their 2nd annual "Murder Mystery Night" starting at 8:30pm. Included in your ticket are 3 tasty cocktails, gratuity, and most importantly, an unforgettable evening. You will be tested with the challenge to find out who killed the famous Pickle Baron, Barnabas Barnaby Baggs. Don't forget: 1970's costumes are encouraged!



Halloween Eve (October 30th)


There's No Place Like Home - A Wizard of Oz Themed Halloween Dinner at The Graceful Ordinary

On the night before Halloween, venture down the Yellow Brick Road to The Graceful Ordinary! They are a hosting a great, Wizard of Oz themed dinner, and the best part is, a portion of the proceeds goes to a great cause, too. Starting at 5pm, they will transform their elegant dining room into the "Emerald City", with a mouth-watering four-course dinner by Chef Chris Cullen. A portion of this dinner will go to support Lazarus House - a non-profit organization that provides shelter to individuals in Kane County who are in need. Make sure to wear your best Wizard of Oz costume, too!



Halloween Night (October 31st)


Murder Mystery at The Arcada Theatre

Finally - Halloween night is finally here, and the activities haven't been put in the grave just yet. If another Murder Mystery is what you're after, then we've got the perfect way for you to spend this eerie evening. The Arcada Theatre is having their "Midnight at The Masquerade Murder Mystery" which will begin with Dinner at Rock 'N Ravioli at 7pm. Following your delicious feast at 8:30pm, you'll need to be up to the task of solving this mystery! Make sure to grab your tickets fast, as seats are limited!
